“One of the best alcoholism treatment and drug addiction treatment services in the nation”
Cold Creek offers inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment for Idaho residents. Because there is limited inpatient options for alcoholism and drug addiction treatment in Idaho, we offer a unique program. Idaho residents can receive nationally ranked non 12-step treatment at our limited enrollment Creek Wellness Center location in Kaysville, UT. Kaysville is only two and a half hours from Idaho Falls. If transportation is an issue, we will have one of our intake coordinators pick you up and bring you to treatment.
Research has shown that attending inpatient treatment away from the triggers and enabling influences of home can increase the effectiveness and decrease relapse after treatment. Attending treatment away from home is easier than it sounds. We offer a program where families can participate in our 6-week family program remotely by teleconference. Weekly one on one family counseling sessions are completed via Skype or three way phone call.
After you complete inpatient treatment in you can either return to Idaho and attend treatment at one of our partner outpatient offices close to your home, or live in one of our Sober Living apartments and participate in an outpatient program in Utah.
We realize that you were probably planning on attending treatment in Idaho; however during the 30-45 day inpatient portion of the program, even in Idaho, clients have very little contact with family. Our clients are allowed personal phone time 3-4 times per week and family members can easily make the short two and a half hour drive to visit on the weekends. So even though attending treatment out of state may not have been what you initially had in mind, here are some some significant advantages to consider:
At the end of the day, treatment is about recovery and overcoming dependence on alcohol and drugs. We have treated hundreds of clients from Idaho and they commonly tell us “I could never have have received this level of care in Idaho, it just doesn’t exist” In June of 2012 The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University completed one of the most thorough studies about addiction treatment. Here was their conclusion:
“The vast majority of people in need of addiction treatment do not receive anything that approximates evidence-based care.” and “Only a small fraction of individuals receive interventions or treatment consistent with scientific knowledge about what works.”
Cold Creek’s programs were build from the ground up using therapies and programs that are proven to work.
Our drug rehab treatment program for Idaho residents is based on the recognition that drug and alcohol addiction is a disease and that abstinence is the ultimate goal. Cold Creek is a non 12 step addiction treatment program. We expose our clients to AA, NA and CA, as these programs can provide excellent support after rehab; however, these programs cannot address the complex mental health and other co-occurring issues accompanying addiction. We approach addiction treatment in a holistic way, addressing the needs of mind, body and spirit as components of a balanced healthy life. We treat our clients and their families with respect, while providing a safe and comfortable environment optimized to facilitate healing.
We recognize that everyone comes to Cold Creek Idaho with a unique history and personal circumstances. No single treatment is appropriate for everyone. Matching treatment settings, interventions, and services to an individual’s particular needs is critical to his or her ultimate success in returning to productive functioning in the family, workplace, and society. Creating individualized addiction treatment plans for our clients and their families is paramount to success. We achieve this using proven therapies and our unique limited enrollment program.
Individuals struggling with drug addiction commonly have co-occurring mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety disorder, ADD, and or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). A board certified Physician and Addictionologist, APRN’s and mental health professionals make up a comprehensive treatment team that focus on treating addiction and any co-occurring mental health issues.
